Workshop Description

As the world of gambling continues to expand with the legalization of sports wagering, we are seeing other sectors and industries adapt along the way. One such industry has been the world of financial services and day trading. The session will start with a look at terminology and mechanics of day trading, investing, and gambling. From there, we will discuss the similarities and differences between gambling and day trading. Lastly, we will explore personality traits and connected behaviors between the two.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

• Learn 2 of the most common trading definitions
• Learn 5 Personality traits that are similar between day traders and gamblers
• Identify 3 values that shape our attitudes and financial habits

• A look at brain activation and reward schedules to set the tone for the day
• A discussion around terminology, gambling, and trading definitions and perspectives
• Observations and lived experience examples thru radio clip and personal sharing
• Similarities and Differences, personality trails and relationship with money
